 Reasons To Donate to LowCountry Habitat for Humanity Your gift changes lives, gives hope for the future and strengthens families in the LowCountry. We sell homes to motivated, qualified, working families based on the belief that every person deserves a quality, affordable place to live. Your contribution supports our local community. We build and sell affordable houses in the LowCountry. LowCountry Habitat uses your money wisely. Approximately 85 cents of every dollar goes directly toward home building and homeowner programs and services, rather than administrative overhead. Your gift strengthens LowCounty neighborhoods. Vacant lots once overgrown and degraded with garbage are transformed into homes where children and families flourish. LowCountry Habitat works to construct houses in groups so that neighbors can work together to improve entire neighborhoods. Homeowners are active in their communities and schools. We build partnerships and community beyond the neighborhoods where we build. We bring together volunteers of diverse backgrounds to build a single home. These volunteers gain new understanding and an appreciation for others, not to mention new and lasting friendships. |
